Leila, Liina and Lily Luik

The triplets Leila, Liina and Lily are bright and cheerful Estonian long-distance runners who train at the University of Tartu Academic Sports Club under Harry Lemberg. The sisters started regular running training at the age of 24, which shows that it is never too late to start and set great goals for oneself. The sisters proved this with six years of training that turned beginner runners into olympians. The Rio Olympics fulfilled the girls’ dream – TRIO TO RIO.

The achievements of the triplets from Tartu got international attention, helped them introduce Estonia to the world, and also made history in the Olympics. The fact that all of the three girls made it to the marathon at the Olympics was also an achievement worthy of the Guinness book of world records, as they were the first triplets to compete in the same event at the Olympics. Now the girls are already starting to focus on the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
